Silvershotz 2011

The 4th annual Silvershotz 2011 Folio photography artist list has just been announced. Photographer, Emmanuel Coupe-Kalomiris, is one of 31 photographers from 12 countries selected for this prestigious Folio Annual. Silvershotz distributes 10,000 folio journals to 1400 bookstores in 17 countries plus a further 2,000 journals are mailed free of charge to leading galleries and institutions in 19 countries.
The Silvershotz 2011 Folio journal is a special edition collection of contemporary emerging artists who are carefully selected by a jury panel of industry experts. Photographers from around the world must submit a folio of 15 images. The images are selected on the following criteria: technical skills, a themed and cohesive body of work, consistent excellence in every image in the folio and the intellect behind the folios presented.
Previous folio participants have been offered one person exhibitions, have had their work reproduced in publications and sold more work to collectors.

Gallery Exhibition - St Moritz, Switzerland

News Release: International Photography Awards 2011

Landscape photographer Emmanuel Coupe - Kalomiris was awarded a total of 3 prizes at the 2011 IPA (International Photography Awards): 1st place in the Nature - Seasons professional category for the winning entry "Winter in the Rockies" and 3d place for two more series of his images in the Nature category.
Several more of his entries won honorable mentions in Fine art, Landscape, Abstract and Architecture Categories.

About IPA:
The International Photography Awards is a sister-effort of the Lucie Foundation, where the top three winners are announced at the annual Lucie Awards ceremony. The awards event will be held at the Lincoln Center in New York on October 24, 2011, before returning to Los Angeles in 2012 in celebration of the 10-year anniversary. Over 8,000 submissions from 90 countries were received for the 2011 International Photography Awards with over 70 jurors, the largest to date. The Foundation's mission is to honor master photographers, discover new and emerging talent, and promote the appreciation of photography. Prix de la Photographie, Paris - PX3

I'm pleased to announce that I received the gold award in this year's PX3 competition. The PX3 awards are the most prestigious European awards that recognize photographic works for excellence in originality, creativity, excellence of execution and overall impact. The winning series is from my winter trip to the Canadian Rockies and can be seen HERE.

Epson Panoramic awards & Spider Awards

I received good news from the Epson Pano Awards. I was awarded 1 Silver and 5 Bronze medals in the Landscape category and my only submission in Architecture brought home another Silver. Not bad at all for a first timer, looking already forward to next year.
Same goes for the Black and White Spider awards for which I received 4 nominations. 2 In the nature category and 2 more in Architecture.

Landscape Photographer Of The Year 2009/2010

I'm very pleased to share with you the great news. I was named landscape photographer of the year in this year's take-a-view competition. I was quite surprised to hear the good news as more than 20000 entries marked the 3rd year of the most prestigious landscape competition in the UK.
